First released in 1975 on Sonny Lester's Groove Merchant label. That Lp (Which I have) contained 5 tracks, just two of which are present here. They are 'Afrodesia', and 'Flavors'. The music is pretty good but Dr. Smith has done much better.
I bought this as a jap import a few years ago for $32, it's well worth $132! Forget about anything you know about what "jazz organ" is suppose to sound like. This is jazz,funk,rock space organ. It may take a few listens to let it soak in but once inside you will be greatly rewarded.
I have the original album that the last 3 songs were on in the 1977 release. I initially bought this album because I was curious with a name close to Lonnie Liston Smith. Lonnie Smith has a nice swing style to his music that never gets tiring to listen to. It is good to see that I can have these cuts on CD now.
