I still prefer 1:3:1 as an album in whole, but songs like Freedom and Addictive are mind blowing - its in the music and its in the expression intensity layers.

there is no music more genuinely creative nor pioneering in this day and age than dufus, and "ball of design" is sheer evidence of this fact. dufus proves you can be both melodic and raw, both staid and eccentric, both serious and playful. further, following "1:3:1," "ball of design" proves that not every album a band releases needs to sound the same, that not every song on an album needs to sound the same, hell, that not every verse of a song needs to sound the same... they break all boundaries and take no prisoners, particularly because they're out to free all prisoners of mind and popular taste. i love dufusmusic.
