Brilliant!
(This album was released in 1992.) Alleyne-Johnson is a musical genius! First off, the electric violin he plays he carved himself with a kitchen knife (and he still has all his fingers). Second, there's no sequencers nor keyboards on this album, nor is this a multitrack recording. Everything you hear is just Alleyne-Johnson playing his violin live. He uses delay pedals to bounce and loop-back, building up a musical foundation he then solos over. Whenever I play this CD at work someone always pops their head in and asks who it is. It's beautiful and relaxing. I'm glad I can finally buy the rest of his albums, which have only been available in the UK.
