(Mostly)ferocious rockabilly from UK TV
As the decade turned to the 60's, rock and roll faded from sight in the USA. Many of the pioneering rockers went to Europe to look for new audiences, and Gene Vincent & Eddie Cochran played live on British TV, backed by Marty Wilde's Wildcats, a fine band. The video has been lost, thankfully we have the sound here. Great except for some goofy female backing vocals. Video from both Cochran & Vincent exists from the LA's Town Hall Party show, playing live in the studio. It's on Youtube in nice quality B&W.
