Floyd's best overall Stax release.

Though not blessed with the emphatic vocal energy or range of Otis Redding or Sam Moore, Eddie Floyd was capable of spectacular moments with the right material. He demonstrated that on two exceptional singles, "Knock on Wood" and "I've Never Found a Girl." These two triumphs, plus his explosive vocal on "Big Bird" and above-average performances on several other numbers including the intense "Girl I Love You," make this Floyd's best overall Stax release.

BIG BIRD!!!!!

Eddie Floyd is probably under-rated. Five stars for Eddie Floyd being Eddie Floyd, but "Big Bird" is one of the all-time great soul songs and you should download it immediately.
