Near Perfect Orchestral Adventrures
These are the operas without words scored by Henk de Vlieger for Netherlands RPO in late 80's early 90's. Sound quality is very good and has the right tempo and passion so you can really feel the ecstasy chord in Parsifal. If, like me you don't care much for the singing, and just prefer the music, then this is highly recommended. Critics generally don't like opera in this form and term it 'bleeding chunks'. This version is probably the best on the market. (Wagner's "Meistersinger - an orchestral tribute" by Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra is also available on e-music.)
