Fresh and focused rock music

This is a hugely enjoyable rock record, with focused arrangements, great progressions and brilliant playing. By writing strong tunes with a real arc to them, Enemies are adding something fresh and energetic to the instrumental rock genre, which has long been clogged up with bands trying to write the soundtrack to the battle scenes in the lord of the rings...

...They just haven't been singing, nor have they been recording any of the talking on this record. All in all though, it's not bad - sort of jazzy, "angular" math-rock-like guitar pieces.
