This is a model for the right way to do goth metal prog rock. It's very powerful without going too far over the top. The power comes not only from loud climaxes, but also from great pacing and dynamics, often building from quietness that makes the subsquent full blasts even better. I particularly love the mysterious ethereal female vocalist, who is a perfect foil for the heavy mayhem surrounding her. Highly recommended.
