(little correction of Jazzwagner): The title "Wherever I Go" is mistitled. Real Title: TUESDAY AT TWO (Gerald Wilson) Issued on "The Chico Hamilton Quintet - Gongs East!" Discovery DS-831
The first four tracks, comprising the "Music Matador" release, are fantastic music. However, they appear to have been transferred from a bad piece of vinyl. Anyone hoping to have a noiseless copy will be deeply disappointed. On the solo alto piece "Love Me," another track appears to have bled through, leaving a background of muddy bass behind Dolphy's inspired playing. This album should be removed, it is a disservice to anyone who wants to hear these great recordings.
