Ya, Know, This guy can SANG!!!

RaiderJack

I have been hearing Eric Roberson around with other artists and always thought ("...hmmm who's that?...damn good singer) Then I heard two of his cuts, "Change For Me" and "Find A Way" from his first project and was quite impressed. This is an eeeeeeexcellent follow-up. A very attractive thing about Eric is he definitely NOT trying to copy the styles of anyone else. Of course he is a very good singer so of course, any male vocal legends like Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, Peabo, etc may all have been viable influences. But Eric is fresh, his arrangements are inventive which propels him a cut above your average singer. This is another gem from EMusic, glad I found it, and if you like creative but yet quite rich, this is a find!

After several self-released discs, major-label refugee turned respected underground figure Eric Roberson offers his first for the eOne label. On the sprawling Mister Nice Guy, Roberson delivers more of his heartfelt, relaxed, everyman R&B. The singer is joined by several guests, including Phonte (Little Brother, the Foreign Exchange), Chubb Rock, Jean Baylor (Zhané), and a few other vocalists., Rovi – Andy Kellman
