Staggering into your consciousness with the giddy, bass-heavy riff of “Heading Through,” this disc could well kick your ass if you’re not careful. From the disorienting original cover art by frontman Paul Garvey to the off-kilter rhythms within, everything about this project seems designed to prove pleasantly unsettling, like a trip to the fun house. Get into the growl of “One Way” and the creepy groove of “Phobia.” Just don’t look too far into the abyss. – Tim Sheridan
