Powerful Music for Powerful People
I downloaded Ankoku Butoh after having seen Faith & The Muse play a rare, live show at Berbati's Pan in Portland, OR recently. The music on this album, their latest, is a combination of old favorites, plus new material that is inspired by their darkwave/gothic/occult themes, woven together/inspired by what sounds like Taiko drumming. It is seamless, moving and powerful stuff. Anyone who was around during the "olden days" of the Gothic music phenomenon is sure to enjoy.
