You just can't stop the new wave revival, and this Los Angeles band's lush, silky reworking of synth-goth tropes offers a lovely way to surrender. Much of the album sounds like Depeche Mode with a higher fat content, but on certain tracks and female vocals intertwine gorgeously, like the proverbial rose and briar over doomed lovers 'graves.

One more Cause and Effect clone.

If your vocal-leanings are towards the monotone drone and you crave teany-bopper lyrics set to predictable synth lines, this is the album for you. It has the sound of one more bedroom-studio album. Not that it is so bad, but it is not a stand-out of its genre, even by a stretch.
