More than an entire month's downloads for 1 album?

Apotome

I enjoy experimental or innovative work as much as the next person, but I think asking me to spend more than an entire month's worth of eMusic downloads on this is asking a bit much. Perhaps if the group and/or eMusic could find a way to more economically package up these tracks I would give it a try, but at this time I'll pass.

This works well as background droney noise and it's fun to try and figure out what is making what sound.

Plunder elsewhere

Osram

I do like this stuff but I can't bring myself to download 60 tracks. I'll stick with other sampledelia and plunderphonics like People Like Us, Ergo Phizmiz, Christian Marclay, Do Make Say Think, The Evolution Control Committee, John Oswald, Negativland...

The 1 min tracks kill

StoneMamba

Even if I liked this stuff, there is no way I would spend my credits downloading all sixty. Who's idea was this?

They Say All Music Guide

If exploiting the microscopic compositional possibilities enabled by digital recording and editing technologies can be considered a distinct new genre, then Explorers_We is its first masterpiece. At first blush formless and chaotic, the CD’s hour-plus collage of vocal bits, sound bytes, and fractured song fragments begins gradually to cohere into something remarkable and seductive. Farmers Manual write songs like frozen juice containers-concentrated, and requiring a bit of elbow work. But once the right ratio of ideation and assent has been found, Explorers_We is a true delight. – Sean Cooper
