Really good record
Being a Tim Finn, I gave this an all too brief listen at the listening booth at Border, silly me - don't make the same mistake, give this record the attention is deservers, it won't disappoint.

The first five songs on this album are among Tims' best work, with "Good Together" sounding like it could have been on one of the Finn Brothers albums. The rest of the collection isn't quite as strong, but still enjoyable.
After four solo albums, none of which quite hit the combination of commerical and artistic success that Tim had with Split Enz, came Say It Is So. Perhaps partly inspired (and partly helped, according to the songwriting credits) by his wife Marie, Tim wrote a fabulous album in Say It Is So which probably ranks as his best. There are a few songs I don't find as thrilling (such as Big Wave Rider and Rest) but a LOT of excellent songs - Underwater Mountain, Good Together, Currents, and Death of a Popular Song are the standout tracks.
