haunting and explosive
this is my absolute favorite of the Flat Duo Jets catalogue. its like a ghost opus sent from beyond by aggravated country rockers from days of yore. the lyrics are simple but poetic, the rhythms are varied and surprising and Dexter's guitar does more than just charge forward - it spits and sings and is throroughly dynamic throughout. my favorite tracks are: the foot stomping "Michelle", the hypnotic "How Long", the cool and atmospheric "Tura santana", the simple "Cool Boys", and of course, the perfect creepy send off: "White Trees". check this album out.
