From start to end this is one of the finest example of pop craft. And I mean that as absolute praise. But consider that Stevie Nicks' absolutely stunning \"Silver Spring\" was recorded for this album but rejected. It appears in a modern re-issue of Rumours.
Yeah, it's Fleetwood Mac in their most commercial form. But really, eMusic? 79 cents per track for an album almost 35 years old? Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Or maybe you just don't care anymore. Suggestion for any potential customers here: Check out your local used CD store. It's guaranteed to be there for about two bucks, and you'll help keep local businesses alive.
It's a deal in the sense that you're getting 11 tracks for about what you'd pay for 9 at the per-track price. Also, Amazon has the CD for $14.70 and MP3s for $8.99, so I think that yeah, it's a deal. Yes, you can probably find it in a used bin for cheaper. I don't think that's the point.
A finer rock album from the era of sunny 70s rock is hard to find. A splendid warm up to the sublime Tusk. (Hey Arnold, do you not understand the concept of the "deal"?)
I don't get it. how is it a "deal" if the tracks are at the high end of what emusic charges. pretty sure you could find the CD in a bin somewhere for cheaper than this.
"Anagrams" is the name of one of my favorite books - it's clever and heart-wrenching at the same time.I like sad songs you can dance to, and I like sad songs you can cry to. I like girl groups and electro-pop and Brit pop and twangy torch songs. I'm still haunted by some of the songs that I was obsessed with when I was a kid. I think "twee" and "deep" are not mutually exclusive. more »
