Progressive w/ Goth Undertones
Fountain of Tears is basically a progressive version of Lacuna Coil or Evanescence. The music sounds like a mellow Dream Theater, while the vocals are goth-inspired. I really enjoyed the instrumental tracks on the band's EP, and the music on Fate doesn't disappoint, but the vocals do seem tacked on instead of integrated. Fate is basically an extension of the EP. I had hoped for a little more growth, but I still enjoy Fate for what it is - an extremely well-played and melodic prog-metal album.
