Great CD, which is way cheaper
I love this album, it's one of my top twenty for the period and Naxos is almost always great value. Case in point, I paid less than $9.00 for this CD, brand new. Emusic pricing structure is ridiculous, in particular for classical music. Some albums work out to four or five dollars, some to sixteen or eighteen, all based on the number of tracks. I'm all in favor of the money flowing back to the recording artists, but I don't see how any of us win this way. If you can swallow paying more for a Naxos recording this way though, definitely purchase this and it's companion from this under-rated but fascinating composer and arranger. And price aside, kudos to Emusic for bringing Naxos on board; the snobbish slagging they took twenty years ago from the high price establishment didn't stop an incredible and vast array of music reaching the masses.
