Great Love--Great Day

Yes, it was a great day when I found out that eMusic was offering this set. Francois Carrier is a great saxophonist from Montreal. The "boxset" that this is a part of has effectively doubled his available recordings and that's wonderful news. The only problem with this cd is the sound is a little "cavernous." But don't let that stop you. Check it out.

Passionate alto player from Canada

Francois Carrier is an important player out of Canada. If you haven't spent some time with him, you're missing a very good writer and alto artist. His quintessential CDs are 1) Compassion and 2) Intuition. What's on this page is new stuff not to be missed. Carrier tends to be heady, but underneath he's got this roiling blues bubbling along. The guy is earth.
