An interesting work of 20th century piano music
Think Ives' second piano sonata, but over nearly two hours. This is a long work, in three parts and a total of 12 sections, brimming with inventiveness and snarky motifs. It's much more complex than the Ives, but a lot of its riffs recall the Concord sonata. It really requires multiple listenings to appreciate the complexity of this work (which is really three works), but it's worth the effort. Not very high bit-rate files, however, and that could be improved. Also, this work needs liner notes to better understand what it's about.
