Hailing from Japan, Free Disco moved to London two years ago and brought with him an ear for deep music. Already an accomplished composer, record collector and disco selector when he sent out a demo of his new recordings it wasn't just Electric Minds that took note but also New York's Rong Music, who will release a track by him later in 2008. On this twelve, "Psychedelic Symmetry" is a fast paced track made for the dancefloor. It features heavy bass throughout which is bound to find favour with the house heads as well as lovers of nu-disco. B-side cut "Hippe Can Dance With Boogie" leans towards the cosmic with a spacey sound accompanied by live bass and keys. For this project the label have brought in Stevie Kotey for remix duties. Here he takes "Hippe Can Dance With Boogie" on a spacey disco excursion, adding live percussion and new drums, and replaying the synth lines.
