Wounded and Tough
There's so much to like about this album: the dual guitar punch that hearkens back to the glory days of Drive Like Jehu/Hot Snakes, the coiled-spring urgency of the songs, and the inexhaustible supply of hooks. But what really got me were the vocals - terse and gritty, but with a naked, beating heart underneath. Really great stuff.
