Saw Buddy in Detroit at the Fox as the warm-up for BB King and found him to be great. He had the crowd engaged and happy especially when he went into the crowd and walked around the isles. This album give some of the same feeling that I saw live, and I will enjoy listening many times when I am in the mood for Blues.
At his best, Buddy Guy is everything his ardent fans claim: an incendiary guitarist who makes every note count, both technically and emotionally, as well as a tortured singer.
