Amazing!!

I agree with the previous reviewer. The Sound definetly adds to the piece. It is not studio quality, but it has a submerged feeling to it, something I believe adds to the mood very effectively. This piece itself is incredibly repetitive, but holds your attention for the most part-the first 18 minutes are the finest-by then you should be in lah-lah land anyway. Highly recommended pre-bedtime music.

nevermind the perfectionists...

many folks complain about the audio quality of this release, but i have to say, i think they're off base. this is a live recording conducted in a giant water tower, with a medium ensemble. given the technical challenges inherent in such a project, the minor imperfections you can hear (mostly the musicians moving, or picking up / dropping objects) are not only understandable, they actually add a great deal of unique ambience to the overall sound. "the sinking of the titanic" is a fantastic piece, and this is a terrific recording of it.
