only 1 good song

My opinion is that the only worthwhile song to download is whoever you are, which is an incredibly fun, happy song that is also interesting. the rest of the songs don't 'click'...i downloaded some of the songs based on user reviews, but they aren't worthwhile in my opinion. Whoever you are is fantastic though, you should add it if you don't have it.

Sheesh, I agree

What a retarded review! I remember when the whoever you are song was all over the radio. This album reminds me of all the great songs that were out in the mid 90s made by real people who actually played *real instruments*. Shocking I know.

Not sure what's up with the review from All Music Guide above. What, can't a band have a unique sound anymore?! Here is my review: This is one of my favorite CDs, and I am so glad to see it on emusic. I bought this a long, long time ago and I still really enjoy it. This is strange, wierd music that will resist even your best efforts to lump it into some category. Give it a shot, though, and you won't be sorry. In the ten years I have owned this CD, I have shared it with several friends, all of whom grew to like it and some even bought it. You want tracks? Here are the tracks: Check out track 1, which was their hit that was on MTV for a while, and track 7. Just do it, you won't be sorry. Once you are hooked check out 8 (listen to that piano solo, it's quite amazing), and 4 (dig the clever songwriting). If you like those, then just get the rest. If you are like me you will find something new to appreciate with each listen. I cannot recommend this enough. GET IT!

They Say All Music Guide

Geggy Tah may be eclectic, drawing from all sorts of collegiate rock, but they have a hard time focusing their talents on their second album, Sacred Cow. Careening between jangly pop, tame punk, reconstituted prog-rock and funk, the band covers a lot of ground without coming up with a distinctive sound. Furthermore, the group is undone by their weakness for cutesy, sophomoric jokes — their very attitude makes it seem like they’re being condescending to their own music. But the best moments on Sacred Cow — despite their flaws, the band does have musical skill — suggest that if the band can focus themselves, they’ll produce an engaging album. – Stephen Thomas Erlewine
