Special Rolls
I had a vinyl copy of these recordings years ago. They are not made from an ordinary piano roll but from a special roll made on a recording piano that saved not only the individual notes but also the pedal action and the force of each key. The result when replayed is a far better sound than you could have had from any conventional recording of this vintage and a faithful copy of Gershwin's playing. A beautiful record.
