Wish there was more music like this in the world.
For those of us who are ready to move on to greener pastures, jazz-wise. Sick of all the rehashed Marsalis bebop of the world, the tired, stiff funk, the "world" tinged improvs that are simply thinly veiled blues with a tabla and/or kora, etc. And for those of us who aren't scared of electric instruments used as electric instruments. And aren't scared off by the shadow of rock looming over modern jazz, or moreso even, the shadow of punk rock over jazz rising to more than just a shadow. This is it. Get it. Get the blessing. I get it and love it. Perhaps you will too.
