Agreed, awful recorded
Oops, "awful recording." Don't waste your downloads. It sounds as though you're late to the show and forced to listen to it from a hallway while wearing a diving helmet.
Horrible quality
Hard to tell how the performances are since the sound quality is so atrocious. Consider yourself warned!
Worst opera recording ever
Are there really no better recordings of this magnificent Puccini opera? This one is awful. I wonder if the "Met" did a recording of its Jan 10, 2009 matinee performance. If so, I hope that eMusic will get a hold of it.
Poor Recording
The recording is fairly poor, and I'm sorry I didn't just purchase a better copy. The voices aren't all that easy to hear, and the instruments sound tinny.
