Very torn

EMUSIC-0228CF84

I love the beats and the vocals on 'Bunz Therapy' but I think the rest of the vocals are really nu-metally.

This is my favorite local band of all time,i've seen them at least 30 times, and every time they are amazing! They are so funny and just a great happy fun time. If you see them coming out your way, you NEED to go check them out. Party Dream Forever!

Drink and Dance

626-Precious

Its like catchy dance rock with spandex and kool mo dee glasses. It's true, it's either the best thing you've ever heard or pure hell. Or both at the same time. Either way it's worth a download, I mean really, what else is Emusic offering you lately?

???????

This is either pure genius or the worst crap I've ever heard. I also saw them open for Art Brut. I thought the music was HORRENDOUS, but the singer was one of the funniest (in between song banter) frontmen I've ever seen.

I just can't get over it!

JRocK

This is all you need to get anything to become a party. The music is captivating and the lyrics are great and out of control! Trust me, it reminds me a lot of the dance beat songs from reggie and the full effect.

LIVE

KurtyP

I saw these guys open up for Art Brut and at first I thought they looked like a bunch of wackos but then their songs kick in and you're like...hell yeah this rocks!

They Say All Music Guide

The debut release by Gil Mantera’s Party Dream, Bloodsongs, is one of those rare recordings that manage to be both retro and modern at the same time. The electronic drumbeats sound like something out of a modern-day dance club, while if you spliced the synths and vocals away from the rest of the sonic stew, you could be fooled into thinking that it was straight out of new wave’s early-’80s glory days. Hailing from Youngstown, OH, Gil Mantera’s Party Dream is a duo of multi-instrumental brothers, Gil Mantera (programming, keyboards, bass) and Ultimate Donny (vocals, guitar), who split the songwriting duties straight down the middle. Prime examples of the duo’s aforementioned style and approach include “Shadow Grip” (which features some very Gap Band-esque moments), “Bunz Therapy” (a robotic synth ditty), and the album opener, “Buffalo Tears.” Picture an Americanized, more uptempo and dance-ready Air, and you’re not far off from Gil Mantera’s Party Dream. – Greg Prato
