Good try?
I wanted very much to like this album, the songs on it are--or rather, ought to be--easily able to be enjoyed. But unfortunately, the band did not hold up to my expectations. I'd like to think my tastes have just gotten too complicated for this simple sound. I am rather disappointed by that. Not an album to take a chance on.
