Gords Gold
Absolutely Classic. Took me in a whole different direction.

Gordon Lightfoot is one of those rare artists that is able to not only tell a story with vivid imagery and strong emotion but he is able to put you IN the song, as if you are experiencing what is happening. \"Song For A Winter's Night\" puts me in a recliner in front of a roaring fire, a cup of hot chocolate (or a good impy stout) in my hand, staring out the window watching the snow fall. \"Carefree Highway\" puts me on a Colorado highway, cruising through the moutains, enjoying the sunshine and the cool, crisp air. Great record, but as mentioned, unfortunately \"The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald\" (my favorite GL song) is missing but a quick download of it from the 45 will take care of that.
A superb album; the only song missing that should have been here is Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, but I guess that came out a bit later than the songs on this set.
All the reasons you love and remember Gordon Lightfoot are right here.
