The American version of the Fuzzy single contains two non-album tracks. “I Will Take Him” is a decent addition to the catalog of Grant Lee Buffalo. Its rich acoustic and electric guitars, mixed with great vocals, are what makes GLB’s sound so unique. The interesting thing about this single, however, is “Dixie Drug Store (JuJu Mix),” which offers entirely new vocals and several new verses on this already expansive story-song about New Orleans and voodoo. At over eight minutes, the “JuJu Mix” offers a new interpretation of this fan favorite, but also a glimpse into what was originally conceived by the band. This is comparable to finding an extended version of “Hotel California.” For fans, this song alone makes the single a must. – Dan Lee
