Must Download!

Don't sleep on these dudes. Listening to these samples brought me back, damn! Gonna dig this cd out the crate. Gravediggaz were brilliant and mostly unknown, unfortunately Diddy and the other garbage stole all the shine. Educate yourselves ye ignorant masses!! (insert evil laugh)

If You Eat Well You Sleep Well

The Gravediggaz' first album was an entry into the shortlived "horrorcore" genre of rap. It was incredible. 4 years later they came back with their very different sophomore effort. Prince Paul is on the cover but is obviously uninvolved. The Rza, who here is captured at his pinnacle, both lyrically and musically, is only on about half of the tracks. Plus, skits and content seem to show that the group is no longer "horrorcore" but trying to save the mental dead. Whatever. It is an awesome album. Frukwan and Grym Reaper deliver solid performances throughout and the Rza? In '97? Are you kidding? He steals every song he is on. "12 Jewelz" alone will make you realize that 99% of rap is garbage. This was a gutsy follow up and, as time would tell, was a wise move. And Rza's Freddy fingers are just a pure stallion move.

Great Album

This whole album is good, tracks 4 and 5 are among my favorite tracks of all time, I think 12 jewelz was rza's finest moment lyrically, must own.
