almost one of the best but not

rtistik_1

i have been watching the trance scene move since 1991 i have always enjoyed electronic music since i was 13 and juno reactor took the cake back in 1993 with transmissions. Today that album does not hold up to todays standards of psy- but it was a starting point for all. The best album of its time and still holds up today was by KOXBOX back in 1995 Also Total Eclipse-delta aquarids from 1995 is better than this album all around you can listen for yourself on e-music just type it in and be blown away. I still think this album is fantastic even today

actually from 1995...

"but this album keeps fresh & effective even being from 1999." It was originally released on dragonfly records in 1995....such a masterpiece!

Epic!

Seeka

I discovered this after trying out some Shpongle (Simon and Raja Ram, 'Are You Shpongled' is amazing!). This has to be a definative Psy album, after the first three tracks you wont be coming back. You will NOT be dissapointed with this!!

Classic Trance

DJCore

This is how it is supposed to be. One of the first songs I ever played was LSD. It is still a great track along with all the rest. I wondered what happened to dark, hard trance. All I hear now is light, fluffy crap. Looks like a lot of artists have lost their edge.

Must Have Psy

AmusablePsycho

If you are into Psychedelic/Goa Trance this one is a must have album. Psy Trance guru Simon Ponsford (also known from Shpongle & Younger Brother [look them up, also must haves]) does a great job in this solid Psy Trance Album. Psy Trance tends to sound old quickly since it is so fast-evolving, but this album keeps fresh & effective even being from 1999.

Nice, BUT!

LSH

I only downloaded Shamanix, recommended by a reviewer, and was enjoying it until 4 or 5 minutes in, when some idiot says a few words, including the f-word. Not that I haven't heard it a million times in real life, but it definitely wasn't needed here, doesn't add anything to the music, and was a pretty dumb move. I usually burn my favorite electronica to mix cds and my 5-year old listens to them. Not this one, which is too bad because I think she'd enjoy the MUSIC.

Classic Goa Trance

Obeah

It's amazing that no one has reviewed this one yet, so let me step in and say that if I was making a "desert island" list of Goa Trance, this album would have to be on it. Simon Posford is one of the gods of the Goa Trance scene from the mid-90s. Some might say it doesn't hold up very well 10 years later. Decide that for yourself; listen to "Shamanix" or "Orphic Thrench" and make up your own mind. The 30-second samples do not do either song justice. Download them and listen to them on a good pair of speakers to fully appreciate the psychedelic power of Hallucinogen.
