Less dire than its title suggests ("doom" is the sound of Egyptian drumming's low, clear tones and "tek" its high, crisp beats), this 2004 solo-percussion album focuses on shimmying bellydance beats.

I keep on making my friends listen to this album because it is so incredible. I love the differents techniques and sounds that come off the doumbek.
...then you're dead. What a great album. How does he make "tunes" with percussion? It's amazing to crank this up for energy; one of my favorite house cleaning CD's.
