Nice stuff...
Ulrik seems to experiment with his line-up continually. For this release there is no piano in the line-up; rather Fender Rhodes or wurlitzer. Like Tribal Dance, Ulrik moves between compositions which are quite trad (e.g. Matchbox and Little Wonders) to those which make him stand out as an edgy saxophonist, particularly Red Cap, Water For Oxen, and Pow Wow. Indeed, the playing and phrasing on Red Cap brings to mind fellow Scandinavian Tore Brunborg. Recommended, especially if you enjoy Brunborg's work.
