The other side of fusion

ProgTodd

Fans of fusion, the meshing of rock and jazz, have Return to Forever and the Mahavishnu Orchestra as great examples of the genre that lean more to the jazz side. Hatfield and the North represent the other side of the spectrum, leaning towards progressive rock with a hint of fusion drumming and structure while retaining rock chords and diverse compositions. And their delivery is just plain fun, as reflected in their song titles. A can't miss addition to any proghead's collection that bends the Soft Machine mind-frame back towards its Canterbury Scene roots.
