Abstract noise

GlumTJup

I love this record! Abstract noise morphing into leftfield electronics, this is a really captivating listen. It's definitely headphone music - to be listened to and not danced to, music for the head rather than the feet - but it's still a damn fine record.

Interesting, but not exactly fun.

Whimper

Calling Fade and Movement "mainstream tracks" is pretty misleading, as even these most accessible of the lot are still pretty out there. I'm not going to make a value judgment about an album that consists of unmelodic sonic experiments, but potential buyers should know that what you get when you buy is mainly that. It's an album of explorations such as...: "What would happen if I made a track of just me breathing, with some gating effects and stereo channel manipulation? What would happen if I uttered wordless syllables into a crazy reverb filter that goes PING! over and over? What would happen if I made an album of college art-class idea tinkering and actually released it for purchase?"

Fade and Movement are amazing, and yes, by far the most mainstream tracks. (The emusic preview of Fade doesn't do it justice). The other tracks are excellent but far more esoteric.
