Wonderful Album!

songbern

Great combination of beautiful singing and unique instrumentation. I downloaded about 4 of these tracks a while ago and they are among my favorite pieces of music. I just had to come back and download the rest. Thank you eMusic for helping me discover great artists!

Wow man...

Unclenoggin

I heard these guys for the first time in a coffee shop here, and I got through the first song and a half before I had to go running up to the clerk and ask him who they were. I proceeded to get straight on here and download both albums, even though I hadn't even heard a full two songs. Truly beautiful. Some music can give me chills and goose-bumps. I'm so glad I discovered this band...

Believe it

Velvethope

Believe all the praise, this album is beautiful. At times, haunting and atmospheric, it's always melodic and beautiful. If you have an ear for folk or the cello, violin, you should definitely enjoy it. Try Honest Doubters.

Give me more....

This is an outstanding album. Strap the noise reducing headphones on and give this a real listen, front to back. If you're anything like me, you will be soaking yourself in the beauty of this album for years to come.

It's okay..they know me here

starryeyedboyz

Lock me away in the dark. Isolate me from the world. Just give me Horse Feathers and I'll be fine in my own little world. Time stands still, can't concentrate on anything else 'cept giving my full attention to this recording when it plays. Download "Dustbowl" if you need one song to convince you of the merit of every song here. "Falling through the Roof" will drop your jaw one minute in.

Your Winter Album

flamgirlant

Maybe I say it’s an album for winter because I first fell for them when the temperature dropped in late fall. Maybe it’s the stripped-down feel of the music; no drums, nothing electric, just acoustic guitars, banjos, cellos and mandolins. Maybe it’s the incredibly raw emotion in Ringle’s voice; he can cut to the quick and paired with a viola and violin… it’s nearly breathtaking. Finch On Saturday makes me think of crunching the snow under your feet as you walk, watching your breath is freezing in the air. Blood on the Snow have violins that suddenly spring up and flit about like a cardinal taking off from a bird feeder. Falling Through The Roof reminds me of a snow storm - starts out easy and light, the giant snowflakes falling softly before the wind kicks up, the sky darkens and you find yourself caught in something like a blizzard. If you enjoy Nick Drake, Iron & Wine, Band of Horses and those of their ilk, you will love Horse Feathers.
