Hound Dog Brings the Party to You...

tanta07

Hound Dog Taylor and the Houserockers always specialized in wild, unrestrained boogie blues, and Live in Boston is no exception. It's ragged, it seems at any moment everything will skid off the tracks, but they hold it together and keep the groove rockin'. A great album for turning up loud and having a few brews with your rowdiest friends.

Rough, ragged..... and stunning

You never knew you needed another version of some of the classic blues but you do, you do, you do! You'll never need to buy an antiseptic, note perfect, immaculately produced "blues" album again.

More specifically Cambridge...

...at Joe's Place, (but why get picky). Great moment in live recorded music. Down and dirty blues doesn't come any better or more authentic.

Raw, dirty and real blues!!!

CorrosionHarp

This is the real deal, raw, dirty, deep Mississippi blues. This guy was discovered by the owner of Alligator Records Bruce Iglauer. Thanks for this Mr. Iglauer. Taylor's brand of blues almost always included upbeat, rockin' rhythms and sexually charged slide-guitar work that cut through the rough interplay of Harvey and Phillips. Taylor's solos were remarkable for their raw intensity and coarse tones. This is my favorite all time blues artists. FIVE STARS EASY!!
