Five great songs
These songs are from House of Brothers, the name a bloke named Andrew Jackson of Nottingham, UK performs under. Frankly, I haven’t been as excited by a (melancholic) singer-songwriter since Alexi Murdoch's FOUR SONGS (his follow-up full-length album left much to be desired, unfortunately). Jackson has only released this short album of five songs so far, and he may go the way of Murdoch, but for now I’m relishing these gorgeously dark songs. Quiet songs, but with a full band and lovely strings. Quality music with deserved comparison to Nick Drake.
