Jazz at an Angle

WhiteAlbum

Fun late-period Knitting-Factory style jazz -- and a chance to hear Kurt Rosenwinkle (guitar) in an avant-garde setting. Not to mention that you can hear how mature Chris Speed (sax) and Jim Black (drums) in their sounds, even in 1994 -- before they joined Tim Berne's Bloodcount. Black's drumming is particularly impressive - Kaleema starts with a terrific solo. Andrew D'Angelo's quirky, aggressive sax sets most of the color and personality; check out his more recent work on the Skirl label.
