Hundred Waters LP

EMUSIC-02B970DA

This record is a brightly lined sky shimmering collection of craft, with intriguing textures and really nicely thought out and composed songs. Each song has it's own unique joys. The rich vocal harmonies are reminiscent of Stereolab via Hildegard of Bingen. Not only is there great two and three-part vocal writing, but the arrangements of the entire band, horn sections, and synths are beautifully crafted and executed. Often times when one hears electronic production added to an acoustic instrumental ensemble, it becomes overbearing or awkward. This is not the case with this band. Hundred waters does this flawlessly, interjecting production and sampling very tastefully and sparsely throughout the entire album. Hundred waters are quite a force, they are a group of mystical medieval sonic troubadours and explorers. Buy this record!
