Amazing

nexus61

The concepts behind this music seem to blend the traditional and the electronic. The melodies are haunting and production enhances the feel of steppes that color every sound. Amazing work.

you make me soar

Tsolkin

Ever since Tuva Groove, i have been waiting for a solid mix of wonderful tuva magic voices and the right touch of global fusion. I create esctatic dance mixes and i see when certain music makes the floor dissapear and the dancers fall into an experience of effortless movement. I don't like to trance them out and I don't club, but this cd fills my wand of juju. not all songs fit, but as soon as I heard Mountain voices, I had to check out the whole cd. Overall, including these vocal magicians in a pool of world tonal- tonic vibrations, I thank you.

Huun Huur Tu gets the "Deep Forest" treatment

MDavignon

Please do not judge Huun Huur Tu based on this album. There seems to be a population of people in this world who discover unique musical traditions, and say "I can't wait to water this down with drum machines and synth washes". Huun Huur Tu's music is most stunning in its natural form, even for this person who listsns to a lot of electronic music. All of their other albums are excellent. Also, check out the Bulgarian Voices album "Fly, Fly My Sadness", which is a collaboration with Huun Huur Tu.

Huun Huur Tu gets the "Deep Forest" treatment

Please do not judge Huun Huur Tu based on this album. There seems to be a population of people in this world who discover unique musical traditions, and say "I can't wait to water this down with drum machines and synth washes". Who cares if they're singing about mountains and horses? In their efforts to funkify the songs, the producers usually wind up draining the life blood out of them. Personally, I feel people who use the phrase "Ancient tradition meets modern technology" should instantly be sent to jail. Huun Huur Tu's music is most stunning in its natural form, even for this person who listsns to a lot of electronic music. All of their other albums are excellent.
