This is the album that started me on my love of Italian prog. It is much darker than any PFM, Banco or Le Orme album, and loaded with some killer keyboard work. I was lucky enough to see them live a few years ago at NEARFest, and Gianni Leone was excellent on keys.
This is the prog album you always wanted to hear -- the album that sounds like nothing else, is packed full of striking musical ideas and fantastic playing, and takes you on a (dare I say 'epic'?) journey from the beginning of side A to the end of side B. Unlike a lot of prog albums, YS is also raw and aggressive, even abrasive at times. Deserves to be heard by all adventurous music fans, particularly those that hold (sometimes well-founded) assumptions that progressive rock was all capes, endless solos, and psychedelic fantasy.
This album is a must for anyone who loves prog rock. It is so intense it will sterilize frogs at a thousand yards. All joking aside, it is a must have for anyone who loves the genre!
