It's a good record, but it's more like "typical" post-rock: not "songs" per se, completely instrumental, fewer crescendos, playing that sounds more improvised. It isn't really five songs, either - it's one extended piece in five parts, all based on two central themes (or motifs if you prefer). It's good, but the things that make this band nearly unique within the genre are not really in evidence here, other than the fact that the title refers to an historical disaster in which many people died horribly, drowning in the freezing waters of Lake Michigan.
