For the fans...

Extol-Christ

This collection of InSoc songs features the original lead singer. The songs from their Tommy Boy catalog have been re-recorded, and the rest are from the album Don't Be Afraid. The Gary Numan and Madonna covers are InSoc recordings.

This is not even close. I would rather listen to that crappy American Idol guy. The band that remade this should be shot by the original artists.

actually...

...these are all the original singer, Kurt Harland, and it mostly concentrates on the album where he was the only member of the the band, but even he is apparently not fond of this release. He has since given the legal rights back to Paul Robb(amicably), and they have a new singer who is very close to Kurt vocally. Yes, there is one Gary Numan cover song here that has guest vocals by Gary Numan...but I'm guessing Kurt did the programming on that at least.

It would be thier greatest hits if they in fact had any thing to do with it, instead y'all got some other singers to rerecord their music and passed it off as Information Society. What a piece of crap!!! , i knew that these many downloads was to good to be true.

A collection of re-recordings, remixes of re-recordings, and a couple original tracks from the lackluster Don’t Be Afraid, Pure Energy: The Very Best Of is at best an easy way to collect all the compilation appearances Information Society did for the Cleopatra label. Those looking for the original recordings should seek out the band’s recordings for the Tommy Boy label. – David Jeffries
