My favorite group of all time
Oh my goodness! You can never have too much Inti Illimani. I don't know the history behind this particular album; most of the songs on this album appear on other albums, some in different renditions. But if you have never heard this group its a nice cross section of their music. Don't speak spanish? No matter, the music speaks for itself. Gorgeous! Multitalented and profoundly gifted these musicians are. I sometimes think of them as the "Chieftains of South American music", in the sense that they really are the best in their genre. Their musical style incorporates Mexico, Chile, Paraguay, jazz, Andean, Peruvian, and much more! If you speak Spanish you will likely hear political as well as love themes in their lyrics. Try all their albums, E-music has some of them, the ones they don't have are definitely worth going out and buying.
