I'd have to say that this is the best Inxs CD. Not as many hits as Kick, but this CD has more of my favorites.

INXS had a string of 4 fantastic records.... from Shabooh Shoobah, The Swing, LIsten Like Thieves and then KICK. What's amazing is that they are all quite different especially focusing on the progression from The Swing to Listen Like Thieves. Both of those records are Fantastically Complete with an entire lineup of solid songs. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic Album

Muse8

Fantastic album of INXS. Possibly their best. A wide range of musical moods, grooves, arrangements. The pop tracks are there - I Send A Message, Original Sin - and they hold up well. But it's the more subtle and emotionally complex album tracks, like "Johnson's Aeroplane" and "Melting in the Sun", that are truly intriguing and moving. The string arrangement, melody, and lyrics of "Aeroplane" are particularly strong. Also "Burn for You" sets a sunny mood, building up slowly with subtle percussion, bells, and warm chords, into the ecstatic choruses. Seek out the 12" of that track also if you can find it....

They Say All Music Guide

Consolidating the strengths of Shabooh Shoobah, The Swing is the first consistently impressive INXS album. With the Nile Rodgers-produced “Original Sin” acting as the centerpiece, The Swing retains the new wave pop sense and rock attack of their earlier albums, while adding a stronger emphasis on dance rhythms. At the same time, the group’s songwriting had improved, with more than half of the album featuring memorable hooks. – Stephen Thomas Erlewine
